The notebook thing did freak her out just a little bit. “You know, it doesn’t exactly sound right when you say it like that.” She picked it up again and warily opened it. “You don’t have a use for it…so you drop it off to the first…Uh human you come into contact with.” Skimming over the rules a bit, she paused at his introduction, albeit was a bit rude.
"…Ryuk huh?" Carefully she extended her hand for him to shake. "Well, no hard feelings on the lecture…but in my house we extend the courtesies to hosts." Glancing down at her hand she wondered if he understood the gist of a hand shake. "I’m Keegan. So…let’s get down to why you’re uh, really here…"
The apple… She reminded herself of his stealing of her snack. Turning she picked up a piece of fruit from the bowl in the kitchen, the green apple extending out to him. ” If you’ll be so kind.”
Ryuk stared at her extended hand, blank faced, until Keegan awkwardly put it back by her side. He knew humans occasionally shook hands as a greeting, but he wasn’t human, and being durations wasn’t really his style.
"I am already fully aware of what your name is so there’s no need to inform me. Why I’m here? Well, that’s simple. I’m here because I’m becoming bored, and you just happened to peak my interest. Please don’t take that as a compliment."
Ryuk reached forward and grabbed the apple from Keegan. “So, is there anything you want to know?” He asked between muches.
Keeping her hand extended, it took her a moment to realize he was ‘t returning the gesture. She frowned and made a face when he explained his situation. “Yeah…wasn’t going to,” Her nose wrinkled in distaste. “Besides, you’re not my type anyways. Dropped off the last ball and chain, not sure I want another.” Chuckling, she opened the notebook again. “So…Shinigami, huh? You’re Japanese, right? So…you get bored and come to America. Seems like the wrong kind of place to come sniffing around for…fun.”
Turning from him, Keegan plopped down at the kitchen table. “We’re a special kind of country, Ryuk. Don’t have a whole lot of common sense…so, what makes you think that I’m so interesting? Ooh. Human…female. She’s fiesty…let’s drop the magic notebook in her house, see what she does. Right?” Cocking a brow at him, her green eyes settled on his hunched over figure. She flipped open the cover and read over the rules carefully, several times.
"You’re a death god. So…you tote this bad boy around and nobody says anything? Seems a little out of place. What do you get out of this, Ryuk? "Satiating your boredom…" doesn’t seem to fit you."
"I’m not exactly best buddies with anyone from the shingami realm, they’re all so boring, so it’s safe to assume nobody even saw me with that thing. Besides, I haven’t had it for long.”
"So then, Keegan. What are you going to do now?"
